Wherever you find yourself this Thanksgiving, whether you’re eating turkey, tofurkey or other, we want to say thank you for being part of our family.
Our new dog, Dakota, is in training to become a service dog!
Good dog, Foster.
Foster was a certified service dog.
He loved greeting patients, and he was available to dental patients with anxiety, phobias, or anyone who just wanted some company or emotional support.
Dakota is very pup-ular with the pup-arazzi, so his first photoshoot went off without a pawblem.
Dakota is in the office daily! Come and say hi before he leaves to complete his service dog schooling!
Meet Dakota, a purebred cocker spaniel.
He’s going to go to school soon for his service dog training.
He is so calm and so calming. We all love him at the office!
A client had some facial scarring from a dog bite, so I treated him to some scar reduction by using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and our advanced laser.
No need to worry about it. Everyone is using safe practices at MBD! Read more about what we are doing to stay safe!
I am sad to announce that on Wednesday, the world lost a true angel and unicorn. Our dog, Foster Douglas has passed.
Many of you knew Foster from the office. He was there to greet you, sit happily with you, and he offered emotional support to patients who needed it during procedures.
Meet Foster, our certified service dog.
Foster loves greeting our patients, and he’s available upon request for dental patients with anxiety or phobias, who want some company or emotional support.
Practicing what I preach… In the photo above, it’s Mr. Foster getting his periodontal maintenance.
He’s getting an anesthesia-free ultrasonic cleaning. As usual, he is an excellent patient!
Some people fear the dentist as a cold, dark & awful place. Moonlight Beach Dental is focused on breaking those negative expectations in every way.
Here’s how we help people overcome their fears of the dentist:
I read about Wesley, the puppy with braces, and I wanted to share because it’s just too cute.
Poor Wesley had a problem – his mouth wouldn’t close completely. He couldn’t get a grip on toys and he was losing weight.
Here’s a blog post for dog lovers like myself. I give you turmeric dog paste!
There’s few things that can come between the bond between man and dog.
Here’s a happy patient, and a happy dog.
This patient has a cocker spaniel at home, and he wanted Doug’s company today to keep him comfortable during his service. It worked.
Doug loves helping to keep our patients happy and relaxed!
A couple small blurbs:
Meet our newest team member Luna (aka Lunatic) and see my new mask that I wear when removing mercury fillings.
Although I’ve taken Foster (aka Doug) to the vet for yearly cleanings, I was not brushing his teeth nightly at home.
As a result, Foster recently had to go to the doggie dentist for a full set of x-rays, a full mouth deep cleaning and 1 extraction!
Doug is a certified service dog for emotional support. He loves greeting our patients, and is available upon request for the phobic patient who wants extra emotional support.
