If you’re looking for Dr. Laurie Gan, or her dental practice, 32 The Art of Dentistry, you are in the right spot!
Dr. Gan has sold her dental practice to Dr. Nicole Vane.
Dr. Vane is now seeing Dr. Gan’s clients.
The office remains in the same location as before, though it has been renamed to Moonlight Beach Dental.
On March 21, 2014, Dr. Laurie Gan mailed the following letter to patients:
It seems like every day the saying comes up: My, how time flies, doesn’t it? I am amazed that it has been ten years since I first opened my doors to welcome you all to my practice, ten years that you have entrusted my associates and me to your dental health care! But it’s been so much more to me than just fillings, cleanings, replacing teeth, even straightening teeth, and helping you all have a smile to be proud of. YOU have given me a smile to be proud of! YOU have given me the change to be proud of this profession! We’ve been through break-ups and budding romances, marriages and births of our children. Together, we’ve watched our children grow! We’ve been through, sadly, sickness and loss; and, thankfully, through health together. In ten years I feel like we have become a bit of a family!
Due to physical and personal circumstances, I have made the difficult decision to sell my practice. After a long and careful search, I am extremely proud to announce that I have found a truly outstanding dentist, Dr. Nicole Vane, to be the new owner and, more importantly, to be the person I feel is best suited to now be a part of the dental family we’ve built together! She has impeccable credentials and has been practicing for ten years, two of those here in Encinitas. What I found amazing when I met her is Dr. Vance knows dentistry well and is well-versed in delivering the most up-to-date health-conscious dentistry, yet has this infectious bubbly personality that made me feel completely at ease! She’s a local north county resident, too. So you may even sometimes see her in the local surf line-up! You will also be pleased to know she will be adding additional hours and evening appointments, as well as appointments on Friday and Saturday! I think you will quickly feel as comfortable with her as I do. In fact, she will now be my dentist!
I will personally help to introduce as many of you to her as possible. I would introduce you all if I could. I hope you know me in that way by now! I will, though, have to concentrate much of my time on repairing a back that has seen the wear-and-tear of 23 years of practice, rehabilitating it and finding a career that will be kinder to my, dare I say, aging body! And in the rest of my free time I will have a chance to actually focus and experience my son, Taj, who is now 7, and those silly little twins, Kiana and Made, now 5, grow instead of just watching it happen half the time!
Thank you from my heart for all you have shared with me! It’s not so much a goodbye, I keep telling myself, as much as a see-you-around!
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions!
Aloha and mahalo nui loa!
