Last week, a friend and client reached out because her dog had jumped up butted her chin, causing her to bite into her tongue badly. Thankfully it wasn’t a major wound that would have required stitches, but the bleeding didn’t seem to want to stop. She texted me, asking what to do.
I told her to put a black tea bag on it, and suck/press on to the wound.
Why a tea bag? The tannic acid in tea helps stop the bleeding by clotting the blood, and it can also help reduce pain.
She’s sent me this pic. She’s all better now!
